American media personality and businesswoman Kimberly Noel Kardashian, popularly known as Kim Kardashian has launched her new collection under Dolce and Gabbana fashion house's Spring/Summer collection 2023 at the Milan Fashion Week and her daughter Chicago West had show attendees gushing over her.

The show kicked off with a video slide of retro black-and-white adverts showing Kim eating pasta from a bowl while channeling the vintage glamour of the icons, and played in the background as the models walked the runway.

When approached by the Italian fashion brand to select her favourite looks, Kim told British Vogue that "it was important to her that the simplicity and tailoring of the nineties pieces was preserved" to maintain the link with movie icons and models like Linda Evangelista, Isabella Rossellini, and Monica Bellucci.
“Obviously I love the glitz and you see some of that in the show, but when something is tailored properly, it changes everything, no matter how simple or ornate it is,” she said. According to Domenico Dolce, 80 percent of Kim's selections in the collection were "corrected, a little bit".
The collection did not disappoint once the models hit the runway. It was Dolce and Gabbana signature leopard print and lace, silver, beige, black and white pieces. Kim's glamour and glitz shone through in crystal decorations and her sparkly black gown that she came out in with designers Domenico and Stefano at the end of the show.

Kim also got to channel her inner Apollonia Vitelli-Corleone (The Godfather Mob boss Michael Corleone's wife) as in her words "When you wear Dolce and Gabbana, you feel in control. I can be this alien Barbie personality, which I love, but in my soul I’m also this, like, how do you say it...very sensual Italian mob wife?”

Kim was joined by her family, mother Kris Jenner, sister Khloe Kardashian, and her children but all eyes were on her four-year-old daughter Chicago West.

Chicago captured the essence of the show in an all-black catsuit under a bust top adorned with crystals. She wore glittering bangles on her wrists and completed the look with a crystal-decorated bag and black sunglasses.

There was no escaping her charm from that point on, and people were rushing to compliment her.
“Chicago is the new Kim.” A fan described her as a “mini-icon”, while another said: “Chicago is the Beyoncé of the West kids I swear. She’s literally that girl!”.

In a posted video showed Chicago posing for pictures in her outfit and eating a lollipop, fans commented “Chicago is definitely Kim’s child,” another said “Chicago was born for this, and it shows.”
Kim expressed her gratitude for the chance to curate for the fashion house and applauded them for trusting her with creating all the content, the short film, music and creative direction of the show.
