Enough of some shades and glasses

Some glasses and shades have in the previous year’s hit back in style and different fashions and have been worn by many people. Many fashion gurus across the country ran to grab a pair and it was cool those years and no one really paid attention to it.

Like all trends that come and go, most Ugandans caught the trends almost a year or years after and as we talk many are still walking around Najeera, Kiwatule and Kampala streets wearing them.

This has been mostly fueled by the so called celebs and the rest that want to be wannabes follow the trend like lost sheep.

We are just a few weeks into the Easter holiday but artists like Pallaso and others continue to wear these glasses and shades. For too long, wearing some glasses was more about function than fashion, an essential accessory without much flair. But now that the flair is running out of the fashionable glasses, we join the rest of the world to tell Pallaso, please rest the damn glasses.

It is tired and unexciting like walking around town in a mini skirt with visible mothers' union underwear. You may throw them on any type, style, color and you will look smart but because that is the habit you have held for years, it is time to move on and the rest of the country will join us in saying Thank You.
