Can you add eight 4s to make a total of 500? Only math geniuses can solve this

You certainly realise that mathematics is more than just counting.

It is not without reason that mathematics is called the queen of sciences.

Leonardo da Vinci stated that "no human research can be called true science unless it can be demonstrated mathematically."

However, we will not analyse this quote today. We have something better for you. A math puzzle that looks innocent enough, but requires a bit of thinking.

You certainly realise that mathematics is more than just counting. It is also about associating facts and looking for solutions, as well as creative thinking. These are the skills this puzzle requires.

The task is simple, but that doesn't mean it's easy: write eight fours so that the sum is 500.

We remind you that the sum is the result of addition, so only one equation is allowed. You cannot subtract, multiply or divide. You must use all eight fours and no other number.

Remember that you don't have to solve this task in memory. You can, and even should, write them down on a piece of paper. This will certainly make it easier for you to find the answer.

Look again at the eight fours. How can you add them up to get 500?

And how? Did you manage to make 500 out of eight fours? If so, great. Congratulations. Don't worry if you had to give up this time and weren't able to solve this task. Practice makes perfect, and we still have plenty of puzzles up our sleeve.

And now the long-awaited answer. It wasn't that hard at all, was it?

444 + 44 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 500

Or maybe you have another idea how to get 500 by summing up eight fours?
