Top 5 songs released this week

This week ushered in a new array of tunes poised to infuse your playlist with rhythm and energy.

Naava Grey, Jose Chameleone and Iryn Namubiru

As January comes to an end, let's look at the jams that were released in the last week. You may need some for the upcoming month of love.

Naava Grey isn't that prolific but when she releases a song, you'll likely put it on repeat.

Ndibaawa, which was produced by Sam Bisaso, is one of those songs. It's so soothing with a cutesy vibe for listening pleasure. Grey rarely does music videos, so looking forward to one may be in vain.

This project follows her collabo with Kenneth Mugabi titled Owuwo, which was produced by D King.

Easily the best video released so far this month. Multiple scenes. Most of them are relevant. The graphics have cinematic appeal though some scenes would have done better with colour grading.

Njalwala, which was produced by Jacob Beats, became a TikTok sensation after someone used AI to sing it with Alien Skin's voice. The song's video was filmed by Edrine Paul.

This earworm sung by Liam Voice was produced by Greytown at Raven Studios, with a video shot by Cijay Piqx.

The audio of this Afrobeat song was originally released in November 2023 but the video adds a new vibe. It's a beautiful song in most aspects. Liam Voice has another new song, released on Jan. 19, 2024. It was also produced by Greytown

This Rhumba jam by Iryn Namubiru was released in 2023 but its video was dropped on January 24, 2024.

The video, which was filmed by Edrine Paul, is beautiful but having listened to the song before makes you feel like there's a missing part of the story in the scenes. However, Josh Wonder delivered excellent audio combined with Namubiru's amazing vocals.

The song is off Iryn Namubiru's latest collection of songs titled 'All Time Classics Volume III'. The earworm was produced by Josh Wonder and written by Theo Sharma.

Betty Mpologoma and Jose Chameleone released the video of the remix of the former's classic titled Teri Police. The audio was produced by Baur, with a video shot by Nolton-George. Beautiful visuals and sweet audio.

The B2C singing trio rolled out 2024 with Wantama, which they say is inspired by a true story. The soothing jam was produced by Brian Beats, with a video shot by Zyga Phix.
