When Jamaican dancehall star Konshens came to Kampala recently, he hit the studio to do another remix of the song. The song's audio is already closing in on 100k views though it has been posted by different channels on YouTube.
The original audio of the banger and the two remixes were all produced by Rinex. Rinex, real name Michael Unegui, has produced several well-received songs, including Bolingo (Eddy Kenzo & Swizzy), Champion (Chameleone), Akamwako, Ntuyo Zange, Bogolako, Cococidiosis & Kasepiki (Bebe Cool), Sanyu Lyange (Juliana Kanyomozi), Walumbe Zaaya remix & Winner (Gravity Omutujjj), Come to Me (Alpha Rwirangira & Bebe Cool) and Sanyu (Gaza).
Born on August 23, 1986, Rinex is the founder of Power Records where Bebe Cool's producer Ronnie, also known as Ronnie on Dis One, learnt music production.
Meanwhile, Fik Gaza, born Shafiq Dangote, grew up in Katwe, Kampala, and started hustling while as young as 16. He did this here, in Kenya and Tanzania. Hustling once landed him in prison where he spent a year.
He got close to Jose Chameleone while backing him up during performances and he also participated in his campaigns when he ran for Lord Mayor.
On Friday, January 19, Konshens posted twice, praising the song and Gaza following the release of the remix.
