Iryn Namubiru returns from music break with grand concert

Iryn Namubiru is returning home from Europe, to hit the stage once again after a lengthy music break.

The celebrated Ugandan vocalist on Friday announced her upcoming music concert that is slated to take place on July 26th, 2024 at the Kampala Serena Hotel

This highly anticipated event marks Iryn's grand return to the live music scene after more than a decade.

The singer, who has been living with her family in France, told reporters that her fans prodded her to put up a show for them to relive some her great hits from the past.

"There a lot I have been up to, I have many projects running, and I had decided to giving singing a break but now I am here,” she said.

Namubiru is collaborating with Swangz Avenue for what they touted as an “unforgettable evening.”

"We want to honor creatives who have withstood the test of time,” Julius Kyazze, the CEO of Swangz Avenue, remarked

Following last year's celebration of another timeless icon in Juliana, we are delighted to spotlight Iryn, whose talent is truly exceptional. We're committed to making her long-awaited concert a reality, offering fans an extraordinary experience."

Doors will be opening at exactly 6pm in the evening and the singer cautioned that she will be performing early.

I will step on stage at exactly 8pm and will perform for 90 to 120 minutes, so please come early," she said.

Attendees, she said, can look forward to some of her iconic love ballads, including "Esiimu Yekilo," "Nkwagala Nyo," "Tebiba Bingi," among others which will be performed live.

Benon Mugumbya, Head of Production at Swangz Avenue said they plan to ensure that the production is nothing short of spectacular.
