DJs would freeze on seeing my bank balance - Bebe on Chameleone's fresh start idea

Bebe Cool said the proposal by Jose Chameleone to start a music battle was unfairly structured.

Cool believes the influence he, Bobi Wine and Chameleone have in the music industry will always give them an advantage over upcoming musicians.

Cool noted that they have more money to finance music production and marketing.

"Let me help Chameloeone, or let me advise him," said Bebe Cool in a media interview.

"It's very unfair because you can't put a stone of 100kg on the same weighing scale as that of 1kg.

"Because if we begin the race with them; it's us with the money to do videos, it's us who have studios, we own radio stations, we own D.J.s

"If I clap my hands once and I access my bank account, D.J.s will sit down. How will a young musician do that?... it's not fair.

"Let's stop the comedy, and go back to teaching young musicians that you've to respect your elders."

When Bobi Wine recently said that the idea of the Big Three (Chameleone, Cool and Wine) should be shelved, Chameleone interpreted it as dishonouring their achievements.

But he also noted that he wouldn't mind having all musicians begin a new race and give it two years to decide who the best musician is

"Let's start afresh and forget the past. We start releasing music for the next two years after which we will start giving out positions," said Chameleone.

"Tell whoever thinks is the best, to erase the old discs, forget about it and we start afresh... By next year on Easter, you should be able to tell us who is the best from number one to four... Even fresh talent should participate... I've flagged off the race.”

Some young musicians like Jowy Landa have said they aren’t afraid of facing off with the so-called Big Three.
