Chameleone fires back at ‘principal’: Let's start afresh, judge after 2 years

Jose Chameleone has dared Bobi Wine to a music battle and he wants them to kick off on a blank slate.

Chameleone said in the past weeks he has had people struggling to rank musicians. So, to make it easy for them, he said, all the old music can be forgotten and then launch a two-year race to see which musician would have churned out the best music by then.

He said he would start dropping music soon.

Bobi Wine was among those who claimed the music industry should no longer look at him, Chameloene and Bebe Cool as the best because of fresh talent.

Chameloene has said fresh talent is welcome to join the battle.

"Let's start afresh and forget the past. We start releasing music for the next two years after which we will start giving out positions," said Chameleone.

"Tell whoever thinks is the best, to erase the old discs, forget about it and we start afresh... By next year on Easter, you should be able to tell us who is the best from number one to four... Even fresh talent should participate... I've flagged off the race.

"I'll start releasing music next week... They think I rigged the race. Tell the principal to also work harder."

The President of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), Cindy Sanyu, is among those who believe Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine are not as influential in the music industry as they used to be.

Chameleone said the race is not just about the big three.
