I'll work with Jeff Kiwa 'mpaka kuwulira bubi', says Ava Peace

Ava Peace made a long-term commitment to work with Jeff Kiwanuka, one of the most revered music managers in Uganda.

"I'm there Mpaka Kuwulira Bubi," said Peace, real name Maureen Peace Namugonza, while speaking to Dianah Nabatanzi on BBS Terefayina, adding that she doesn't see herself moving on to work with another manager. "I'm there and we are going to work. I didn't go there to leave. We haven't even started. It's not a lifetime deal, but I'm there for the long haul."

Peace told Nabatanzi that she met Kiwanuka when she was still in high school. "I met him when. I was about 17. He's been a father figure."

Ava Peace first met the founder of the Team No Sleep record label in 2018 during her Senior Six vacation.

She wanted him to manage her but he told her to first complete her education. In 2023, Ava Peace graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences.

Meanwhile, before they parted ways, Jeff asked her to sing for him and share her music samples. Though he didn't accept to immediately take her on, they maintained communication.

The Shabada hitmaker, in a recent interview, said that Jeff would feature her in a video as a vixen but she refused to name it. While still at university, she also released a lovely song titled Nsitula on which she featured Spice Diana and Daddy Andre, who also produced the song.

To finally work with Jeff Kiwa, she said, they recently bumped into each other at Caramel Cafe & Lounge while she had gone to buy supper and he asked her how her music career was going.

He told her he had a song for her. She then discussed it with Mudra Viral who is rumoured to be her boyfriend. "I told Mudra, of course," she said. Mudra okayed the idea and he told her to go ahead and record the song.

"So, everything I've been given a go-ahead from Mudra," she emphasised.

Since joining the management of Jeff, Ava Peace has been dropping hot jams.
