Former NTV news anchor Faridah Nakazibwe was back on the winner’s list, taking home the Media and Blogger Influencer of the Year award, while break-out singer Patrick Mulwana aka Alien Skin received the Music Influencer of the Year award.

Another winner and one of the highlights of the evening was preteen TikToker Ceci Ka Mummy, who came up on top following a thrilling voting process, to take the Next Gen Influencer of 2023 award.

This particular category was added this year, following feedback from the inaugural Pulse Uganda Influencer Awards last year, according to the Awards Project lead, Ms Lizel Muwaya.

This category recognizes trailblazers in the industry; the upcoming influencers, people who are just getting into content creation…The category had 6 nominations and the competition was very tight,” Muwaya said.

Other categories that had the fiercest competition included Twitter Influencer of the Year which was taken by Uwera Lyndah, and YouTube Influencer of the Year which went to the Unpopular Opinion Show.
