'I don't know what I was thinking' - Lwasa regrets breaking up with Desire

"Ooh... I regret splitting with Desire...I regret," said Lwasa who was speaking to Spark TV. "... I don't know what I was thinking... I started convincing her to go abroad. She was so innocent... She wasn't promiscuous... Even when it looked like she was. She was calm and she was excellent at cooking..."

The bombastic tycoon has previously said that it was his other ex-girlfriend Dianah Nabatanzi who influenced him to break up with Luzinda, real name Racheal Luzinda.

Lwasa and Nabatanzi dated for five years and he strongly believes that if it were not for her, he and Luzinda would have made a good couple.

“Nabatanzi influenced me to dump Desire. She used her platform on TV to talk ill of her. I should not have listened,” Lwasa said as he shook his head with regret.

Lwasa, 54, and Luzinda, 40, dated for a while before the Masaka-based moneybags set eyes on the TV personality and actress.

After his five-year relationship with Nabatanzi, the tycoon, who has boasted that his unlimited wealth ensures continuous access to new women, moved on to Angel Kwakunda.

According to Lwasa, of all the women he has dated so far, it's only with Luzinda that the ending is in harmony.

He even acknowledged that it's he who might have messed up the relationship, adding that she was "well-behaved".

He said they first met when he hired her to perform at his hotel and then she asked him to drive her to sing at his bar, Lwasa Gardens, and she came skimpily dressed. He said the first night she refused to sleep with him when he made a move.

When Luzinda was relocating to the U.S., she convinced Lwasa to go with him but it didn't go as planned, as the U.S. embassy asked him to get permission from Kaddu, the father of Luzinda's daughter, Michelle. The embassy wanted to be sure he okayed him to travel with his daughter.
