Woman burns her husbands 'mpango wa kando' with boiling water

A bitter wife has been charged for allegedly burning his husband’s 'mpango wa kando' with hot water.

The suspect, Keziah Adhiambo is accused of burning Christine Anyango, leaving her with serious injuries.

The court heard that on that material day at round 4pm, Adhiambo’s husband left home and told her that he was going to visit a relative in Umoja estate.

Sitting room

Later that night, at around  3am, he arrived back home in the company of Anyango. He proceeded to the bedroom and requested Anyango to sleep in the sitting room.

Reportedly, when  Adhiambo woke up the next day, she was shocked to find Anyango sleeping on the sofa. She demanded to know who she was and what she was doing in her house.

An argument ensued with Anyango telling Adhiambo to ask her husband who she (Anyango) was. An angry Adhiambo, the court was told,  stormed to the kitchen, boiled water and poured it on Anyango.

Hospital

Her screams attracted Adhiambo’s husband who rushed her to hospital.

Investigations were conducted leading to Adhiambo’s arrest. She denied the charges in court and was set free on Sh100,000 cash bail or bond of Sh200,000.
