'What if Aamal finds out?' Rema asked if she is mad at Kenzo

"Why would I be angry at him yet we share a child?" Rema said when newsmen suggested that she hadn't joined the Uganda National Musicians Federation, which Kenzo heads because she is angry at him.

"What if Aamal learns that I'm annoyed at her dad? How will she feel? We respect each other. All is well."

Rema however, refused to delve deep into the issues of the Federation and was non-committal on whether she will ever join.

"... there is nothing much to say," she said, adding that she doesn't remember being invited to join.

She said she is "fasting" and "praying for" the success of the Federation because the issue of copyright is fundamental to the posterity of the music industry.

Eddy Kenzo and Rema Namakula dated for about six years and they have a daughter named Aamal Musuuza.

Their romance became stronger when she left Bebe Cool's record label Gagamel in 2013 to work with the Stamina hitmaker.

She ended their romance in 2019 to start another with her now husband, Dr. Hamza Sebunya. He was still a medical student at Makerere University.

Meanwhile, Rema also commented on music releases, saying that nothing has changed about her because it's the pace at which she has been releasing music.

At the end of 2022, Rema dropped Ngonze which has also been used to remind her of her relationship with Kenzo.

Thanks to Nessim who gave the jam a groovy beat, the song has resonated with young people because of being bouncy and the old people because of the message.

The song has a part where Rema sings “Wabula olina eki power”, then the backup singer adds: "Ngonze Ngoze".

So, whenever Rema Namakula is performing the song to an animated audience, after dropping the "Ki power" line, revelers replace “Ngonze Ngonze” with “Kenzo Kenzo”.
