When they decided to sing, they started participating in auditions.

One day they met "a guy" who promised them the earth. But, first, he wanted them to audition.

They met him at a mall in Naalya and he made them sing as the public watched. There were also some other girls who had come to audition.

Unfortunately, nothing materialised.

All this happened before the COVID lockdown.

Kandle, real name Rebecca Robins Nabatuusa, had a solo career before joining Kateleya, real name Hadiijah Namakula.

They met through a mutual friend they had gone to different schools with. It was on Kateleya's birthday that they met.

Kateleya went to Noah’s Ark Secondary School and Kandle was at Kyambogo College School.

They've been friends since.

At the time of meeting, Kandle was selling men's clothes and Kateleya was working in a restaurant.

Kateleya later joined Kandle in the clothing business.

They began auditioning for music while selling clothes.

Eventually, they met Producer Ronnie on Dis One who accepted to record for them a song. He asked for more money than they could afford, but they harmonised on 300k.

They came with a song and he edited it and cut out most of the content and encouraged them to do more writing.

They did and he produced it and they'd sample it whenever they would go to other studios.

However, it was never released for public listening.

It's the song that they took to Theron Music for auditioning and impressed them.

Kateleya and Kandle's first hit song was Do Me, done at Theron, but I didn't become one until after a month.

But before they had released Muziba wa Love followed by Tonafuya. They were also recorded while under the management of Theron Music.
