The move comes after what he says was the government's deliberate action to block the concert from being held at Namboole Stadium - Uganda's biggest stadium.

Wine on Monday held a press briefing and announced that "Kyarenga Concert" will be held at his beach in Busabala.

"It's our duty to sing. We have been planning to host our show at Namboole but the government frustrated us.

"We sat with the organising team and stakeholders and decided to host our show at our home - Busabala One Love Beach."

The 36-year-old who was allegedly tortured by Ugandan officials in a military detention adds that his team has already contacted police authorities about the event.

"I'm here to tell you that Kyarenga Concert will be held on November 10th. It will be a great show and we invite everyone. We have already written to the police and we don't expect any disorganisation."
