While appearing on NTV's Mwasuze Mutya in 2021, Ichuli said he was taken to the then N.R.M. Secretary General Justine Lumumba Kasule by Balaam Barugahara.

Lumumba drove him in her car to State House Entebbe but he wasn't able to meet him on that day.

He was bounced about three times before finally meeting the president. He said after the introduction by Lumumba to State House officials, it was easy for him to keep returning.

"He asked me who slapped you?" Ichuli said that's among the first questions President Museveni asked him. It eased the tension he was on. There is a video showing Ichuli being slapped during a TikTok live session.

Ichuli said the conversation with the president was casual. After the meeting, President Yoweri Museveni tasked officials to drive Ichul to Mosa Court Suites and that he would meet him on returning from London.
