Viboyo released on police bond after being accused of calling Museveni "buttocks"

Ugandan musician Moses Nsubuga aka Viboyo was released on Friday on police bond after several hours in custody.

The musician was arrested Friday morning after authorities accused him of calling Uganda's 74-year-old President Kaguta Museveni "buttocks" in his new song.

Police authorities also claimed that Viboyo, who was found hiding, abused several leaders and tribes in Uganda "which is illegal".

Viboyo is expected to report at Jinja Road Police Station over the same on October 15th.

He had been detained on charges of offensive communication contrary to the Computer Misuse Act 2011.

The musician faces a fine not exceeding twenty-four currency points (480,000) or imprisonment not exceeding one year or both if found guilty.
