Gabantu Patrick Emmanuel, 56, was arrested on Tuesday alongside other two Kenyan nationals Zahra Ahmed and Abdullazac Rajab.

The suspects are accused of defrauding more than UGX2.5bn (equivalent of 70 million Kenyan shillings) from several SACCOs, including Safaricom and Stima.

Detectives from Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations also recovered several passports during the operation.
