Uganda has been ranked 12th among 1,000 places to visit before you die.
American Author writer Patricia Schultz listed the 'Pearl of Africa' in her 1,000 Places To See Before You Die book at the New York Times Travel Show in the US.
The outgoing Uganda Tourism Board executive director said the acknowledgement positions 'Uganda as a preferred tourist destination in Africa'.
Schultz a popular speaker at travel shows, museums, libraries and other venues in the U.S. and abroad.
1,000 Places to See Before You Die book curates travel destinations for people who are passionate about exploring the world.
This year's book is like a personal tour guide featuring hundreds of world wonders in full color, from Uganda's gorilla trekking to India’s Palace of the Winds to Venezuela’s Angel Falls, the highest uninterrupted waterfall in the world at a whopping 3,212 feet.
