For years, African content creators have often struggled with limited distribution channels and reliance on inconsistent brand deals.

Play It Loud’s arrival signals a monumental shift, providing bankable creators with a unified platform to package their content professionally and reach global audiences at scale.

This development could fundamentally reshape Uganda’s standing in Africa’s digital economy and lead the way for the continent to export its own original streaming culture, rather than just consuming foreign platforms.

The platform says it aims to spotlight bold, original, and culturally relevant Ugandan stories, ensuring creators are more than mere contributors.

Shafik Nekambuza, the Commercial and Strategy Lead at Play It Loud, articulated this vision noting, “We didn’t just build a streaming platform, we built an economic engine for creators.

"Play It Loud is a creator-first platform designed to help African storytellers produce great content, build bankable intellectual property, and connect their stories to the rest of the world.”

For the first time, creators are not just contributors, they are partners in the ecosystem,” she added.
