Lubowa Karting is gearing up to host a morning-only go-kart tournament, promising high-speed excitement and fierce competition on 1st June 2025.

The tourney dubbed Ignition is being hosted at Uganda’s premier karting venue, Lubowa Karting, and powered by Talent Africa Group with racers across three categories battling it out on the track for cash prizes and glory.

Multiple Categories and Celebrity Showdown

IGNITION features three racing divisions designed to accommodate drivers of all ages and skill levels. 

The Junior Division welcomes competitors aged 9 to 13, while the Men’s Division is open to those 14 and above. The Ladies’ Division is open age, encouraging female racers to showcase their speed and talent.

Each participant will navigate two practice sessions, followed by a qualifying round and a final race, ensuring the tournament tests both skill and stamina. 

Besides the intense racing action, spectators can look forward to a Celebrity Race, where well-known Ugandan personalities swap their usual red-carpet glamour for racing helmets, promising entertainment beyond the checkered flag. 

A live DJ set will also keep the energy high throughout the morning, providing the perfect soundtrack to the racing spectacle.

Racers keen to participate should register early as slots are limited due to high demand. Interested entrants can sign up at the Lubowa Karting centre or call 077 763 227419. The event will run from 8 AM for the morning session only, making punctuality essential.
