The couple has been ordered to appear in court on 21st January, 2022.
The two [Bugingo and Makula] were dragged to court by lawyer Male Mabirizi and Robert Rutaro Muhairwe this month for engaging in a marriage process yet he is still married to Teddy Naluswa.
Two weeks ago, Bugingo was summoned to appear at Kawempe Police Station to answer criminal charges of engaging in a new marriage.
House of Prayer Ministries International pastor and wife Teddy Naluswa from 2019 have been having issues after Bugingo filing for divorce. Even after several mediation attempts between the two, Teddy Naluswa pastor Bugingo’s lawfully wedded wife says she is not letting him go because they are church married.
While at the pulpit preaching, Pastor Bugingo while delivering a Sunday sermon told his followers last weekend that he doesn’t support divorce.
“You lose whatever you don’t commit time to. If you don’t spend time in your business, you’ll lose it. Love your wives, love your husbands. Do not ever think about divorce. It is like failing at a business even if you liked it because you failed to dedicate time to it,” Bugingo said.
The city pastor also said that his church will never teach about divorce.
