According to Nantaba, who also goes by Makula, some men who get negative results may never trust women again.

"If it's possible, men should avoid DNA testing... persevere and raise the kids; yours and those that are not yours," she said while appearing on Salt TV.

"The challenge is that these days it's expensive to raise a kid... where possible, men shouldn't do DNA tests because it will break them and some effects are irreversible... some won't trust women again."

Susan Makula herself has a child whom she conceived while a student at Makerere University.

At Makerere University, she was pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce and dropped out after getting pregnant in her second year.

With no laws against paternity fraud, most men find themselves in depressing situations and some have been pushed to commit crimes as means of vengeance. Others struggle with dealing with the emotional attachment they'd built with the kids.
