Speaker Among’s brother attacked by robbers; admitted in Nairobi

Okello, according to Kenyan Police, was driving back to Uganda in a brand new Toyota Prado on November 10, 2023, after he had picked it up from the Mombasa Port.

Kenyan media, quoting local police said Okello was found unconscious along Mombasa Road in his boxers and vest after being drugged by the carjackers.

An ambulance rushed him to the Kenyatta National Hospital where he remained while his family frantically searched for his whereabouts.

He was discharged on November 13, 2023, as police conducted investigations.

Okello later narrated to police that while driving the numberless vehicle, he was stopped in Voi by four individuals, two of whom identified as pastors, requesting a lift to Kisumu County. 

Accepting their request, he drove them, accepting a soda offered due to the heat. His memory faded until he woke up in the hospital on November 11, with the vehicle still missing.

There's speculation that the Prado might have been intended as a birthday present for Speaker Among's husband, who recently celebrated his birthday. 

The speaker was yet to publicly comment on this incident.
