Senior police officers charged with multiple counts
Former Police Flying Squad boss Herbert Muhangi and other senior police officers were on Tuesday charged with failure to protect war materials, aiding and abetting kidnaps in Uganda.
The group of six senior police officers appeared before General Court Martial in Makindye where they pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
They are jointly charged with former Inspector General of Police Edward Kale Kayihura who quietly appeared in court on Monday.

It's alleged that the group orchestrated the kidnap and illegally repatriated 'Rwandan exiles, refugees and Ugandan citizens to Rwanda' between 2012 and 2016.
The prosecution also states that the accused failed to supervise 'arms and ammunition issued to specialised units under the office of the Inspector General of Police'.
The six senior police officers were remanded until February 11th when they will appear before the same court for mention.
