Ruto's visit has come in the wake of a reconciliation campaign launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA Leader Raila Odinga.
It has also come days after Odinga paid Moi a similar courtesy visit.
Although Ruto was introduced to the political stage by the former President, the two leaders have had a hostile political relationship since 2006 when the current Deputy President ditched Kanu for ODM.
