Local media reports that a fire gutted the dormitory of St. Bernard SS Mannya in Kifampa Subcounty last night.

Scores of students have been taken to the hospital in critical for emergency treatment.

The death toll is expected to increase as authorities start investigations on the cause of the fire.

The tragic incident happens as over 90,000 students countrywide start their final UACE exams today.
