President Uhuru Kenyatta held a surprise meeting with former President Daniel Moi at his Kabarak home.
Baringo senator Gideon Moi also attended the Saturday meeting that caught many by surprises.
The meeting comes after DP William Ruto’s attempt to meet the former President proved futile.
Baringo Senator Gideon Moi confirmed the meeting which took place a few months after DP Ruto failed to meet the retired President.
A brief statement from former President Moi’s office revealed that President Kenyatta wished Mzee Moi good health following a recent knee surgery.
The former head of state on his part thanked Mr. Kenyatta for “steering the country towards a path of unity” following the March 09 pact with opposition chief Raila Odinga.
