President Museveni appoints new Ugandan ambassadors

The President of the Republic of Uganda made new changes last night and reshuffled ambassadors, also replacing a number of career diplomats. Some of the long serving ambassadors have been recalled and replaced. There were also several embassies that were previously closed due to financial issues that have been reopened, Berlin, Germany, Kinshasa, DRC, Paris, France and Moscow.

At the re-opened embassies, Jacob Okello goes to Paris, Christopher Onyanga Apali has been taken to Berlin, Elizabeth Napeyok has been moved to Moscow, and Rhoda Kinani taken to Kinshasa.

Retained ambassadors include William Hakiza in Tripoli, Joseph Tomusange in Pretoria, South Africa Libya James Baba in Tokyo, Japan, Joan Rwabyomere in Abuja and Nigeria, Katenta Apuuli in Dar-es-Salaam.
