Police arrests school teacher over defilement of 4 girls

This was revealed by the police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, during the Police weekly security press conference at their headquarters in Naguru.

Enanga said the matter was brought to the attention of Police by a sexual and gender-based abuse non-government organisation (NGO) based in Rubaga, Kampala.

Habib, who is a teacher at City Blessed Kindergarten School located in Kyengera in Wakiso district, was reported by one of the girls who alleged he defiled her.

After investigations, Enanga said, it was discovered he defiled three other girls in the same school

“One of the girls reported Habib to the NGO which brought the matter to the attention of Police. We investigated the matter and found out that he defiled three other girls in the same school,” he said.

Enanga said the teacher has since been arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated defilement of four underage girls.  

In a related incident, a man identified as Erima Milton has also been arrested over the alleged defilement of three school-going girls aged 12 years.

Enanga said the man was working as a school cook at Madibira Primary School in Busia and was using school food to lure the young girls into having sex with him.

He said Erima has since been arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated defilement of three underage girls.   

While responding to journalists, Enanga said enough evidence involving both culprits (the teacher and school cook) has been gathered for justice to be served in the courts of law.
