They were welcomed by UPC leaders who are in Oyam North County to support party flagbearer Eunice Otuko Apio, including UPC Secretary General Ebil Fred, Regional Vice Chairperson of Lango Chris Ongom, and former LC V Chairperson of Oyam Adea Nelson.
According to Muzeyi Faizo, the UPC's Head of Media and Commutations, "Just like in Acaba Sub County, the UPC flag bearer for Oyam North, Eunice Otuko Apio, was cheered by a massive crowd in Ngai Sub County at Omac Primary School, where the Party Secretary General Fred Ebil received 35 members from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to the UPC on Saturday, June 24, 2024, which was the third day of campaigns."
He clarified that the converts and the entire crowd gave Eunice Otuko Apio's campaign for MP for Oyam North and the Party their full support.
"The candidate and team will be worshipping the Lord today, Sunday, June 25, 2023, in several Churches throughout the Constituency. On Monday, June 26, 2023, elections will resume. Jimmy Akena, the MP for Lira City East Division and the UPC Party President, is anticipated to join the campaign trial as Eunice and Team complete Ngai Sub County and then move on to Iceme Sub County to canvass for votes."
