There was widespread anger when a man posted a baby girl for sale on OLX, a popular e-commerce site in Kenya.

The man Alex Mugambi put up the photo of the yet to be identified baby girl and set her asking price at Sh 2 million.

"It was an incident that we took extremely seriously and have put in place measures to prevent it from happening again. The account associated with the ad has been blocked from our platform and we've increased our moderation efforts," OLX said in an offical statement.
