Gitagama has been acting in the same capacity since the end of January after the former CEO Joe Muganda left the company after two and a half years at the helm of the group.

At the time Gitagama was the Group Finance Director.

Mr. Stephen Gitagama holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.

He was appointed to the Board in March 2008. He previously worked as a Finance Director with East African Breweries Limited.

Gitagama is also a director of the Group’s Subsidiary Companies and is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.
