Musa Keys shines at Thrones' Johnnie Walker-powered 5th anniversary bash
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this was no ordinary night. The entrance was shifted to the parking lot, while the usual space was transformed into a vibrant Johnnie Walker lounge, complete with expertly crafted cocktails and golden lighting that illuminated the iconic Striding Man. The atmosphere was one of luxury and exclusivity, setting the stage for a night of memories.
Christine Kyokunda, Johnnie Walker’s Brand Manager, expressed her pride in the event, stating, "Thrones has always been a special partner for us. Their patrons have showed the brand Johnnie Walker so much love over the years, and tonight was no different. This was a different experience, and I’m sure everyone has enjoyed themselves. I am proud to say that Thrones is a place where Johnnie Walker truly feels at home."
As the night progressed, the energy reached new heights with performances from Kenya's Kavisa and DJ Kamali, who captivated the crowd with their undeniable chemistry. Sir Aludah then took over, mixing Ugandan Kidandali, reggae, hip-hop, and 90s R&B, keeping the crowd in high spirits.
But the real highlight was Musa Keys, who took to the stage alongside Uganda’s own Lil Stunner, Sheila Gashumba. With toasts raised and the crowd roaring in response, Musa Keys grabbed the microphone, addressing the sea of revellers, “I appreciate you all for being here tonight. Kampala is always a turn-up! Thanks for the love!”
The party continued into the early hours of Saturday morning, with Thrones Lounge proving once again that it, together with Johnnie Walker, holds an iron grip on Kampala’s nightlife.
