Kyomukama is currently the telecom giant's Chief Technology Officer.
On Thursday, the Ugandan government deported MTN Uganda CEO Wim Vanhelleputte from the country over allegations of threatening national security.
The telecom giant says it hasn't been notified 'of the grounds for the deportation and is working hard to establish precise reasons for the deportation'.
"We are understandably concerned about these developments and are engaging with the authorities to seek understanding that would lead us to resolve this matter," part of the statement reads.

So far, four top staff at MTN Uganda have been deported from the country under the same circumstances in less than a month.
