MP Rwabwogo fears for her life as Brian Isiko continues to harass her
Kabarole Woman MP Sylvia Rwabwogo is still being harassed by a student who is accused of sexually harassing her, state prosecutors said.
Rwabwogo's lawyer on Friday told Buganda Road Court that Brian Isiko, 25, is still sending the legislator 'love messages', according to Daily Monitor.
"I continue to fear for my life because I cannot tell why Brian continues to harass me when I have categorically asked him to stop.
"I make this declaration to support my application that the police put further evidence of harassment post the trial and conviction of Brian Isiko," Rwabwogo's statutory declaration reads.
In July, the 25-year-old student was sentenced to 2 years in prison after confessing to sexually harassing the MP with endless calls and text messages.
High Court in Kampala nullified the jail sentence in October ruling that Buganda Road Court hadn't followed the right procedure when they charged Isiko with cyber harassment and offensive communication.
The court later ordered for the retrial of the case.
Rwabwogo is scared for her life
She revealed that "there's more than meets the eye" saying the "boy was being used by some selfish individuals in a mission to lure me with love and kill me".
"If it was for love, I have had many even those younger than Brian and much older, but this was none like other with intentions to harm me," she said.
