Kentaro was spotted aboard Kenya Airways with Wine in Nairobi on Thursday sparking accusation of being an undercover agent.

Authorities have made further clarifications saying their officer has been in Mombasa on a training workshop.

In a statement, police say, corroborating with Kentaro's earlier clarification, that their officer and Bobi Wine have known each other for a while.

Kentaro has also been providing security to Bobi Wine on events/shows at his One Love Beach in Busabala, according to the police statement.

"Police cannot deploy anybody who is already exposed in uniform to do an undercover operation, more so someone who is already known to the target as a Police Officer".

"It’s therefore false to allege that the officer was on a spying mission. Covert operations are not done the way social media is trying to portray".
