Video: Mbarara street preachers in heartwarming proposal

Pastor Onesmus Grace Taremwa, a youthful preacher with connections to Grace Lubega’s Phaneroo Ministries picked the most unexpected of moments to pop the big question to his girlfriend.

The young lady identified only as Irene was in the middle of an impassioned street sermon when Taremwa appeared from behind and got down on his knee.

Irene as seen in a viral video shared online did not immediately realize what was happening as her fellow preachers and passers-by started cheering and recording with their phones.

Finally catching a glimpse of the pastor, she struts in circles in disbelief, before going for a warm embrace.

With a big smile, she accepts the ring as the small crowd cheers and a saxophonist plays in the background.

From their social media profiles, Pastor Taremwa and his fiancé have been together for some time.

In February they had a lovely photoshoot on Valentine's Day.

Commentators online showered the couple with congratulatory messages, while others drew inspiration from the moment.
