The incident happened after a quarrel between the retired soldier's children and Kusasasira's team over loud music from the car.

Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) spokesperson told local media that Ggwanga's children warned before the incident that their father would 'burn the cheap car'.

"Ms Kusasira’s aides told Maj Gen Ggwanga that he wasn’t above the law. Then verbal exchange ensued. It is alleged that Maj Gen Ggwanga ordered one of his bodyguards (unidentified) to bring him his gun, and he then shot the tyre of Ms Kusasira’s car," Daily Monitor quote KMP spokesperson Patrick Onyango.

Police have started investigations and called all parties involved to record their statements.

Authorities are yet to ascertain whether the NRM leaning musician was in the car when the incident happened.

Ggwanga is synonymous to conflicts -- in 2017, he burned a tractor accusing the owner of trying to grab his land.

He was charged with malicious damage of property but later released on bond
