Manchester United have sacked Jose Mourinho

Manchester United have sacked Jose Mourinho days after losing 3-1 to Liverpool.

The club has announced through their social media channel.

"We would like to thank him for his work during his time at Manchester United and wish him success in the future."

Jose, 55, has managed top level European teams over a decade and he has won league titles and cups in four countries (Portugal, England, Italy and Spain).

He helped Manchester united win their first ever Europa title.

Often described as the 'Special One', Jose leaves Manchester United placed 6th of the premier league table.
