A suspected kidnapper dressed as a woman was arrested as she tried to abduct school children. The suspect was caught by residents of Rivers state after a tip from one member of the public and handed over to the police.

There has been an increase in the number of child kidnappings in the area and many of them end up either used for spiritual rituals or sold to slavery.
