Man arrested over murder of teenage boy who he allegedly caught having sex with daughter

Police alleges Kyebei made the move after he discovered that his daughter had escaped from home in the wee hours of the night to go spend time with her boyfriend who has since been identified as Okema Daniel.

The Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, who made the revelation on Monday 27 2023 at the Police headquarters during the Police weekly security press conference, said Kyebei with the help of 5 other people stormed Okema’s residence the following day, beat him up to death and thereafter used a rope to hang him to make it seem like it was suicide.

Enanga said Kyebei has since been arrested and Police is also hunting down the 5 people he committed the crime with.

“It is unfortunate that the young man’s life ended like that. Police has however arrested the suspect and is also hunting for his 5 accomplices. We urge the community where this incident happened to work hand in hand with Police so the criminals are brought to book,” he said. 

Police also revealed it had arrested three people in Bugweri district suspected of vandalising electricity infrastructure.

According to Enanga, the three suspects have been identified as: Kyeyune Muhammad (45), Muwayi Biraali (35) and Musobo Iraali (32).

Enanga said the suspects are all residents of Idudi, a sub-county in Bugweri district.
