Mr. Tarus was sent home following recommendations by Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji that he be prosecuted in a court of law.
He is among top managers at the energy firm currently under arrest over corruption-related charges.
Tarus sacking comes after a crisis meeting held on Monday morning to replace for the top managers being prosecuted.
