In a message he posted on his official twitter account, Speaker Muturi said he was thankful for the trust Africa had put on him, to lead the Africa Region Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

“Grateful for the trust Africa has bestowed on me by electing me to be the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Africa Region @CPA_Secretariat,” read his message.

Election

His message comes days after he was unanimously elected Africa Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, where he will serve for a period of 3 years.

Justin Muturi was the only candidate who met the qualifications for election, by close of nominations on July 30.
