Jose Chameleone says worrying skin distortions were due to quitting pork

"There is someone who asked what's eating Chameleone, I stopped eating pork," said the Badilisha hitmaker. "That's why I had a little bit of a setback."

When the videos showing Jose Chameleone in bad shape emerged, many people attributed his condition to different lifestyle choices, including drinking a lot, drugs, separating from his wife, and stress among others.

Meanwhile, Chameleone made the revelation while performing at a show during which he also explained why he is charging higher than usual for his upcoming concert.

People are asking why I'm charging $100 (about Shs380k)," said Chameleone in a video seen by this reporter.

"You want to experience things you see at Davido's shows yet you've only paid 20k. You as a fan, pay more so that the artiste can also do better things."

The Valu Valu hitmaker announced his concert in February.

Dubbed 'Legends in Gold: We Love Chameleone', the show is slated for August 31.

Entrance will be $100 ordinary, (Shs380,000); VIP tickets will go for $300 (Shs1.1 million) while a table or VVIP will go for $3000 (Shs11 million).

Jose Chameleone in a televised interview, defended this pricy show saying it is worth his name and what he has done for the music industry.

“We want this to be a celebration of me and what I have done for the industry,” he told BBS TV.

“There are people out there who believe that I should be celebrated while I still live…. That night I will celebrate myself as well because the brick I have put on the industry deserves to be celebrated.”

The show, Chameleone says, will be unique and worth the entrance fees.
