Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) outgoing Executive Director Jeniffer Musisi reacted to a series of question from journalists following her shocking resignation.

Musisi told reporters in Kampala on Thursday that resigning is a normal practice in functioning institutions.

She said: "There are some countries where people resign almost every week. There is nothing to worry.

"There are some countries where you have someone resigning almost every week."

On Monday, Musisi, who has been the authority's head for seven and a half years, handed in her resignation which will take effect on December 15th.

She is hopeful that KCCA will continue functioning properly because it's built on "proper coordination and support".

"KCCA is here to stay for a very long time. People come and go but KCCA will stay."
