The doctor from Victoria, Australia, is a married man and father of two daughters. He was arrested for sexually assaulting women.

68-year-old gynecologist Dr. Stewart Geoffrey Moroney was taken into custody after a woman filed a complaint with the police.

Violated

The woman told detectives that she went to see Dr. Moroney for a health check-up and she felt violated.

She informed the investigators that the doctor did not wear gloves during the exam and that he inserted his bare hands into her private parts.

During their investigation, police said 20 women gave the same account of the doctor sexually assaulting them while doing the exams.

Cameras

Investigators seized cameras and computer equipment from the office of Moroney who had been a gynecologist for about 40 years.

Detectives announced this week they went through the footage and identified a number of patients by cross-checking timestamps with the GP’s appointment records.

He was charged with sexual assault and capturing intimate images.
