FUFA Drum Final: Allan Okello leads Lango Province against West Nile Province

The first leg of the FUFA Drum final will be hosted at the Greenlight Stadium, Arua, Saturday as Lango Province visit West Nile Province.

Played on a two-legged basis, the FUFA Drum final will bring 2018 finalists West Nile Province with the first home advantage over their opponents in a highly-anticipated encounter between familiar stars.

The two teams met in the 2019 quarterfinals and West Nile emerged victorious winning the tie 3-1 at the Akii -Bua stadium with goals from Fred Amaku, Rashid Agau and Tabu Vitalis goals before Fahad Badiro got the consolation for Lango.

Lango Province and West Nile have a great run to the final of the competition with a host of national stars featuring for the teams.

Allan Okello will be expected to lead the charges for Lango Province. The KCCA star has so far netted four goals jointly with West Nile’s Ibrahim Dada in the golden boot race.

A number of players will miss the match due to international engagements. West Nile Province is set to miss out on skipper Nafian Alionzi who is part of the Uganda Cranes squad for the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) currently camping in Tunisia.

Lango will miss KCCA forward Rogers Mato, also on international duty.

The winner over the two legs will be crowned champions.

Buganda Province and Acholi Province won the first and second edition in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

The match will be televised live on FUFA TV at 4pm.
