Former Ugandan rally driver Charles Muhangi has died.

Details surrounding the cause of death are still scanty.

His death was announced by his family on Thursday morning after he was found in his bed without any pulse.

Muhangi became the first Ugandan to win the Africa Rally Championship (ARC) in 1999.
