She revealed to a stunned church audience how she had survived contracting HIV/AIDS from the father of her child.

“I have seen God’s presence in my life. I had a child with a man who had five women and I was the sixth. He is HIV positive, and all the wives are also infected, but I am negative and so is my child," she said.

Mutoni also confirmed during the service that she had moved to Rwanda.

There, she said, she had been taken by her mother and her sister, Gloria.

Beating addiction

While giving testimony at the Grace Room Church in Kigali on Tuesday, October 15, Fille also spoke briefly about her addiction recovery, telling Pastor Julienne Kabanda and the congregation that she had been clean for seven months.

“I sing secular music although I emerged from Church… and because of that, I got onto drugs and struggled with addiction,” she said.

“I was using cocaine, heroin and marijuana for six years. But I thank God that I have recovered. I have gone seven months clean,” she revealed as the church applauded.

Fille also told the churchgoers that she had decided to hand her life back to Christ and thanked her sister Gloria for taking her to the mega-church.
